Dough, located at 45 Market St in Wigan, is a standout pizza restaurant that offers more than just excellent pies. Guests rave about the experiences they have had, particularly praising the attentive service provided by staff members like Oliver and Matt. Reviews highlight not just the quality of service, but the warm, inviting atmosphere that makes it perfect for gatherings, such as the special celebration for a 60th birthday.
The menu features impressive dishes; customers have been delighted by the enormous Yorkshire puddings during the Sunday roast and expressed particular love for the beef brisket pizza, which one reviewer called the best they've ever had. The bottomless brunch is another hit, with the lively ambiance complemented by live music, excellent drink choices, and scrumptious dough balls. Though some noted that the pizzas could be more generously filled, the overall experience, including fast cocktail service, was appreciated.
While the upstairs area may be louder—ideal for large groups—the quieter downstairs space offers a charming setting for intimate catch-ups. Despite the minor downsides, such as the location of the toilets, the overall energy and food quality at Dough ensure that customers leave satisfied and eager to return.

I’d like to personally write this review to a young lad named Oliver, he was very helpful and polite to our group of 14 people for my aunties 60th birthday. He kept us up to date with things and looked after our table. He gave us service with a smile, all round very friendly.

Was recommended by a friend to try dough for a Sunday roast and so glad I did. The Yorkshire pudding was enormous and everything was fresh and tasty. Pizzas looked absolutely amazing too. Will definitely be recommending and visiting again.

We did the bottomless brunch yesterday. The staff and service were brilliant. Live music was a great added extra and the choice of drinks is excellent. The beef brisket pizza I think could be the best pizza I've ever had! Will definitely be returning.

Food was amazing! And the service was equally as good, thanks to Matt who served us, he was very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommend

We went for bottomless brunch the pizzas are good, but not lots of filling, hence only 4 ? Maybe due to how many go out during bottomless brunch ? The dough balls amazing and the cocktails are very good and quickly served. A few different cocktails added to the menu would be good, but I can understand why it's limited when you have so many people ordering. The rose prosecco is also very good Upstairs is very loud, good for large groups as small groups don't think you would be able to talk much without shouting downstairs is quieter and best for catch ups/ small groups. The only downside for me is the toilets being upstairs

Brilliant! Just what Hindley needed! The place is superb having previously worked at the bank it is great to see what they have done to the place. It's light and has a very modern feel. There's a lovely flower wall for the insta poses. Food was great and out of 5 plates all that was left was a few crusts and 1 slice of pizza. When one of the pizzas arrived it was missing an egg which the server noticed and corrected straight away. We even got a pizza dip on the house as an apology. Food was of good quality and tasted nice. I LOVE that these guys support local and the Blonde Ale is brewed at a micro brewery just a few hundred metres away! My only criticism is the lack of sides on the menu. We would have liked fries , onion rings etc as an option. Congratulations on another gem for Hindley!!!!

We just called in on spec tonight early on, a table was available and was spotlessly clean. The music was a little load but everyone appeared to beenjoying the atmosphere. Service was very good, great to see young staff working so well, friendly and working hard together, no one looked over 20 but they were perfectly happy dealing with a 65 year old So often young staff are lazy and unhelpful, however everyone appeared to be happy at their work. The food and drinks arrived quickly, and though I have had better pizza this was still pretty good, we both ate the lot. Portions are good and it’s well priced so it deserves to succeed. It’s well decorated, toilets are spotless and you somehow feel welcome. It is well worth a visit, I’ll certainly be back. Well done everyone.
